The same face from the first page to the last, painted in one style. These are the pages exactly as they came out.
On Easter eve, Lily leaned out her window to smell the spring air. Whoosh! A big gust tipped over the Easter Bunny's basket, and painted eggs rolled away in every direction. At dusk, Lily tiptoed into the garden. There sat the Easter Bunny, hugging his empty basket, his whiskers drooping. "Don't worry," Lily whispered. "I'll help you find every egg." Lily lit her little lantern. Pink, blue and yellow bits of eggshell sparkled on the path! Out through the gate they went, the bunny hopping behind, following the trail into the meadow. A hen clucked, "That way!" A hedgehog found an egg under a tulip. Then a squirrel pointed up a blossoming tree. Lily reached into a nest and gently lifted out the painted egg, leaving the mother bird's eggs safe and warm. At the duck pond, the ducks quacked and pointed their beaks. A painted egg was sailing in a little toy boat! By moonlight, Lily reached out with a stick and guided it gently to the bank. Some eggs had cracked on their tumble. So Lily and the bunny hurried to the garden shed. Dab, swirl, dot! They painted bright new eggs with stripes, stars and flowers. Just before sunrise, the basket was full again. "Thank you, Lily!" the bunny whispered. He waved his paw and hopped away across the dewy lawn to hide the eggs. On Easter morning, Lily found eggs everywhere, under tulips, in flowerpots and by the pond. It was the best egg hunt ever! Then Lily spotted two long ears waving from behind the hedge.
