How your child's storybook is made
Choose a story, add your child — and family if you like — and we illustrate a picture book you can read or listen to.
1Choose or create a storyPick a classic tale children already know by name, write your own idea in a few sentences, or use a story another family has published.
2Add the main childA clear photo of your child's face and their name is enough. A photo uploaded for one book is deleted as soon as the book is ready.
3Bring others into the taleA sibling, a friend, a grandparent or a pet can walk through the same adventure. One book can hold up to three people, and one or two of those can be heroes.
4Personalise the bookChoose how long it is, the language of the story, and how the pictures should look. In a classic tale you can also decide who plays which part.
5We illustrate itEvery page is drawn for this story, so the same faces look like the same children from the cover to the last page. A longer book simply takes a little longer.
6Read it or listen to itOpen the finished book on screen like a real picture book. If you like, a voice can read the story aloud, page by page.
7Keep it, combine it, download itFinished books stay in your account. You can put several together into one longer book. You can also download a copy to keep.
What you'll need
An account (it comes with 20 free credits toward your first book), a clear photo of your child's face, and a few minutes. You can add photos of siblings, friends or family too, if they are in the story. You only need card details if you choose to buy credits.
How long does it take?
Usually just a few minutes, and a longer book takes a little longer. You can close the page and come back — it picks up where it left off.
Credits and pricing
Credits are how a book is paid for; a longer book costs a little more. New accounts get 20 free credits toward a first book. You can buy credits whenever you need them. Payment happens on Stripe's own secure checkout page — your card details never reach us. If a book ever fails to generate, the credits it cost are refunded automatically.
Your photos are safe
The photos are used only to illustrate your book: they are sent to the AI service that draws it, and they are never sold, used for advertising or used to train models. Photos you upload for a single book are deleted as soon as it is ready. Photos you save on a character stay with that character — so your next books do not need them again — until you delete the character.
